Judy Domres was born June 2, 1947 in Langdon, ND to Walter and Irene (Blake) Domres. She grew up in Minto Township where she began her education at the Minto Township School and then graduated from Langdon High School. Judy went on to Cosmetology School in Grand Forks, ND. Judy and Neil Evans were united in marriage on July 9, 1966 in Langdon. They made their home on the farm northeast of Langdon and became the parents of four children. Judy was a lady of many talents. She was a hairstylist for many of her family and friends. She could sew curtains, re-furbish or make new lamps and lampshades. She could lay wooden floors and wallpaper. She was known for always being prepared and had tools handy in her purse, including a tire iron. Judy was active on the farm with her husband. She helped with the cattle, moving trucks and took many hot meals to the fields. On any given day, Judy could assist the birth of a calf, make a hotdish and lay a hardwood floor. She taught her girls to be independent and to know that they could do it. She was the Rock of the family and would do anything for you. Judy was dedicated to her kids and their activities. She drove them to countless ballgames and activities and always had more kids with her than her own. She was always happy to cart around her kids and their friends.
