Joyce Lemier

Karen Joyce Lemier was born February 19, 1941 at Grafton, ND to Harvey and Beatrice (Hughes) Douville. She grew up in Neche, ND and graduated from Neche High School in 1959.
In 1959, she married Alton Horsley and together they had three children: Tonna, Terri, and Tom. She then married Lionel Lemier in 1974, and together they had four children: Lionel "Tigger", David, Kelly, and Kara. She was a loving and nurturing mother.
Joyce loved to dance, sing, smile, laugh, and be a part of large family gatherings. She was a very intelligent and colorful person and was deeply loved. Things she enjoyed were gardening, cooking, canning vegetables, and making jams and jellies. Joyce loved to work on puzzles and was the first one to solve Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She loved music and especially Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed birds and flowers.
She is survived by her children: Tonna Horsley, Fargo, ND, Terri (Jon) Boe, Mapleton, ND, Tom (Lorrie) Horsley, Neche, ND, David (Neisha) Lemier, Hulbert, OK, Kelly Lemier, Parshall, ND, Kara Lemier, Pensacola, FL; grandchildren: Megan (Mike) and Tasha (Kasey); Rebecca, Dustin (Ali), and Maxwell (Rheannon); Kelsey (Michael), Kieran (Evan), and Kylah; London; Alysa; ten great-grandchildren; siblings: Gary (Doreen) Douville, Patrick (Eleanor) Douville, Harvey (Elsa) Douville.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Lionel "Tigger" Lemier; sister, Beatrice "Bubbles" Trenbeath.
Joyce Lemier, 75, of Neche, ND passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation for one hour before the time of services on Monday.
