Joyce L. Fields

Joyce L. Fields age 72 of Grand Forks and formerly of Walhalla, ND, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 31, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation on Thursday, October 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Burial in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Joyce L. Lafferty was born April 22, 1936, to William and Florence (Goulet) Lafferty at Walhalla, ND. She grew up and attended school in Walhalla.
On November 9, 1959, she married Willard Lafferty at Hallock, MN, he passed away on November 1, 1980. She then married Willard Fields in 1988 and he died October 23, 1994.
She worked for Astrocom and Johnson Farms in Walhalla. Joyce especially loved her grandchildren and going to casinos.
Survivors include her children, Greg (Heather) Lafferty, Walhalla, ND and Kim Lafferty, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Edward, Tanya, Jordin, and Madylin; great grandchildren, Alex, Edward, Jr, and Kenadee; step-children, Cindy Cluchie and Chet Fields; siblings, Evelyn Lafferty, Grand Forks, ND, Francis, Sr. (Phyllis) Lafferty, Walhalla, ND, and Aldrin (Cheri) Lafferty, Grand Forks, ND.
Also preceded her in death were her parents, brothers, Laverne, Larry, and Buck Lafferty, and sisters, Irene Ouellette and Patsy Cook.

Casket Bearers: Edward Cluchie, Donnie Lafferty, Dustin Lafferty, Lloyd Lafferty, Shaun Lafferty, and Warren Johnson.
