John E. Wollenberg

John E. Wollenberg age 58 of Hamilton, ND., passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at his home. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the United Lutheran Church in Cavalier. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Bathgate Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
John E. Wollenberg was born on August 10, 1946, at Hamilton, ND., to Herman and Amelia "Molly" (Lindenberger) Wollenberg. John lived and farmed in the Hamilton area his entire life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and friends, and also spending time with his grandson and eating ice cream.
On November 24, 1973, he married Jerry Keena. They were divorced in 2001.
John is survived by his ex-wife, Jerry, children, Brian Wollenberg and Carolynn Wollenberg, both of Hamilton, ND., Brenda (Allan) Defoe, Fargo, ND., grandson, Brody Defoe, Fargo, ND., sister, Sophia (Edward) Nordstrom, Grafton, ND., sister-in-law, Maurine Wollenberg, Osnabrock, ND., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Lawrence "Bud" and Fred Wollenberg.
