John M. Thomson

John M. Thomson, 59, of Cavalier, ND passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 12, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier,ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.
John M. Thomson was born June 17, 1954, at Cavalier, ND to John Richard and Shirley (Schluchter) Thomson. He grew up in Vista, CA where he graduated from high school in 1972. In 1977, he moved back to Cavalier with his family. John worked with his mom at Thomson's Custom Upholstery and he enjoyed motocross racing and assisting his family with the cows and farming.
Survivors include his dad, Dick Thomson, Cavalier; brothers: Jim (Deanna) Thomson, Jeff Thomson, Bob Thomson, Bill Thomson, all of Cavalier, Dan (Marrisa) Thomson, Fort Worth, TX; niece, Janeal (Kevin) Van Camp and their son, Brady, Grafton, ND
Preceding him in death was his mother, Shirley.
