John David Freer

John David Freer, age 9, of Langdon, ND, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Langdon Area High School gym in Langdon, ND. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the school gym. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Kamp Kace, P.O. Box 6462, Fargo, ND 58109 or the Ronald McDonald House Charity of the Red River Valley, 1330 18th Ave. S., Fargo, ND 58103.

John David Freer was born April 11, 2008, at St. Croix Falls, WI, to Rory and Carey (Fultz) Freer. In 2011, the family moved to Langdon, ND, where he grew up and was currently in the fourth grade. John was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2011; he was a strong fighter during his battle with cancer. Things he enjoyed were football, video games, wrestling, Legos, and playing with his brothers.

He is survived by his parents, Rory and Carey; brothers Edward and Brock; paternal grandparents Randy and Denise Freer and Herschel and Mary Brown; and maternal grandparents Vicki Fultz and John Fultz. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
