Jim A Potter

Jim A. Potter age 61, of Cavalier ND fell asleep in death Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at the Augustana Care Center in Minneapolis, MN. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 11, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial will be held in the Hamlin Cemetery, McVille, ND.
Jim Allen Potter was born August 8, 1947, in Brush, CO to Charles Everett and Ossie May (McCracken) Potter.
Jim met Rita Jane Lee in Burlington, CO, where they were both working at the time. They were united in marriage November 1, 1975, and shortly after, moved to North Dakota. Jim worked at various farm jobs until he went to work at Motor Coach Industries, where he worked for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Dale Potter; and his mother passed away February 10, 2009.
Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rita Potter of Cavalier; his step-son, Monty Wharton; two sisters, Patsy May of Grand Junction, CO, and Wanda Evans of Farmington, NM; four brothers: Dewaine (JoAnn) Potter of Grand Junction, Richard (Sandy) Potter of Farmington, NM, Harold Potter of Grand Junction, and Robert (Susan) Potter of Kelseyville, CA.
