Jessie Liebersbach, 88, of Osnabrock and formerly of Nekoma, ND passed away September 22, 2009 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.
Jessie Eva (Anderson) Liebersbach was born March 4, 1921, to Clarence and Mae (Balfour) Anderson at Columbus, ND. Her mother died when she was five yours old. She and her siblings were raised by their Uncle and Aunt Edward ââ¬ÅPearlyââ¬Å¥ and Wilmina ââ¬ÅAuntyââ¬Å¥ (Balfour) Anderson in Rural Osnabrock Township. She attended grades one through eleven at Osnabrock Township School and graduated from Fairdale High School She worked in Langdon at the Langdon Creamery and for Dr. Bartel. On March 13, 1942, she married Anthony ââ¬ÅTonyââ¬Å¥ Liebersbach at the home of Wilmina and Pearly Anderson. They lived at Milton for a short time and then moved to Nekoma where she lived until she and Tony moved to the Good Samaritan Center of Osnabrock in September of 2005. She worked for the Hot Lunch at the Nekoma Public School and helped Tony at his Service Station. She belonged to sewing Club, Booster Club, WELCA, Nekoma Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. She liked to sew, crochet, knit, bake, work with plastic canvas and ceramics. During the summer she enjoyed her flower beds and could often be found working on a crossword puzzle.
She is survived by her children: Cheryl (Norman) Hogfoss of Fairdale, ND, Paul (Patty) Liebersbach of Nekoma, ND, Diane (Greg) Close of Milton, ND, grandsons Jay Hogfoss of Grand Forks and Brett (Maria) Close of Milton, ND, sister Doris Nelson of Good Samaritan Center of Osnabrock and brother Kenneth of Wedgewood Manor of Cavalier, half brothers: Clarence (Betty) Anderson of Anchorage, AK, and Leland (Betty Joanne) of CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents, husband, an infant son, siblings: Wanda, Erma, Hazel, and Delores.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 24, 2009 from 5 to 7pm at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
SERVICES will be held on Friday September 25, 2009 at 10:30am at the Nekoma Lutheran Church of Nekoma, ND.
Interment will take place at Highland Cemetery, rural Fairdale, ND.
