Jessie Glenn

Martha "Jessie" Glenn, 90, of Cavalier, ND, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2016 at Wedgewood Manor with her family by her side. Funeral service will be held Monday April 11, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Cavalier.
Jessie was born on December 6, 1925 to Otto and Selma (Retzlaff) Wollerman, on a farm in LaMoure County. She attended school in Grand Rapids, North Dakota and graduated from LaMoure High school. She was united in marriage to Paul "Teddy" Skovgaard on March 4, 1945. Three children were born to that union. In 1961, she married Clifford Glenn of Neche. In 1972 she moved to Cavalier.
Spending time with her family was her favorite pastime. Other things she enjoyed were playing cards, word puzzles, garage sales, and reading the Bible. In her later years she met many treasured friends while setting up at flea markets.
Jessie leaves behind three children: Gary Skovgaard, Neche, ND; Steven (Debbie) Skovgaard, Milton, ND; and Carol (Jerry) Greenwood, Cavalier. Five grandchildren: Andrew (Shannon) Skovgaard, Cavalier; Yvonne (Jeremy) Denault, Argusville, ND; Eric Greenwood, Cavalier; Maggie (Jerry) Standifer, Fargo, ND; Melanie Greenwood, Grand Forks, ND; and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Jane Knickerbocker and Helen Raatz. Jessie had numerous extended family that she loved dearly and held close to her heart.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers: Ed and Bob Raugust, Walter, Billy, and Fritz Wollerman; sisters: Lillian Barret, Agnes Halder, Elma Johnson, Edith Schock, and Delores Sandness.
