Jerdis Mostad, 83, of Walhalla, ND died on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND Funeral Services will be held on Monday , July 19, 2010 at 10:30 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND Visitation will be held on Sunday at the church from 6:00-7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service. Burial will be in St, Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Walhalla, ND
Jerdis Mostad was born March 17, 1927, at Osnabrock ND the son of Oscar and Hellen (Johnson) Mostad. He attended school in Vang, ND. On November 17, 1954, he married Earleen Verville at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Jerdis worked for Jackson's Bar, Metelmann Farms, Cenex, and Bjornstad Brothers until his retirement. He retired from the Walhalla Fire Department after 40 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Earleen; children, Debbie (Clifford) Peterson, Walhalla, James Mostad, Fargo, ND; Jerry (Annette) Mostad, Walhalla, Jack (Renita) Mostad, Bismarck, ND; and Joel (Jeannette) Mostad of Walhalla, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and step-great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Smith, in California; Charlotte(Hector) Beauchamp, Grand Forks, ND; Doreen (Elvin) Thorlakson, Cavalier, ND; brothers; Dennis (Bev) Mostad, in Washington; Orlo (Lorraine) Mostad, Cavalier, ND; Manferd (Mary) Mostad, Fargo, ND; brother-in-law, Louis Byron, Montana.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Rolland and sister-in-law, Eileen Byron.
