Jenny Lynn Halldorson, 43, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, near Bathgate, ND. Memorial service will be held Monday, July 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held for one hour before the time of the service at the church.
Jenny Lynn Halldorson was born on September 25, 1980, in Cavalier, ND, the daughter of Allan and Kathy (Rickbeil) Halldorson. She grew up and attended school in Cavalier, graduating from Cavalier High School in 1999. Throughout high school, she worked at the Cenex gas station where her contagious smile and memorable laugh was known by everyone. She later attended college in Moorhead, MN, for business management while she worked as a property manager for apartment complexes.
Jen worked various jobs, including one at Motorcoach Inc. in Pembina, where she made numerous friends and lasting impressions. She moved to Warsaw, ND, where she found her passion for flipping/ remodeling houses, as she truly was a “Jen of all trades.” This prompted her to move to Hamilton where she was remodeling her own home, in which she was very proud of. She also had a love for antiques and collecting rocks with her dad.
There wasn’t anything Jen wasn’t willing to try, especially if it helped out her family and friends. She was always there in time of need. She also inherited her love of cats from her mom, and anytime she would see a cat in need, she was the one to take it in. They say, “A Heart of Gold is the true treasure of a person,’ and that was the treasure of Jen.
Jen loved and was so profoundly proud of her children: Caitlyn, Carter, Shelby, and Olivia. Her family meant everything to her. Everyone that knew Jen, knew she has a beautiful, kind soul, and for that the world will be a little darker without her shining light.
She will be missed by her parents, Kathy and Allen; brother, Jamie, Cavalier, ND; children: Caitlyn and Carter, Cavalier, ND, and Shelby and Olivia, Moorhead, MN; niece, Raquel (Jon) Bucklew and great-nephew, Henry Bucklew, all of Duluth, MN; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was met in Heaven by her maternal grandparents, Mildred and Sylvester Rickbeil; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and William Halldorson; aunt, Jackie Lorenzen; uncles, Randy and Rick Halldorson; and cousin, Rick Halldorson.
