Jennifer L. Peterson

Jennifer Peterson, 61, of Langdon, ND, died on February 4, 2018, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, after a courageous, ten month battle with stomach cancer.

Jennifer Lea was born February 26, 1956, to Verlyn & Marvell (Felber) Peterson in Stanley, ND. She was raised in Tioga, ND, graduated from high school in 1974, and went to college at UND in Grand Forks, ND. It was there that she met the love of her life, Lynn Peterson, in 1975; they were married June 18, 1977, in Tioga, ND. They have lived in Langdon, ND, since then where they raised their three children.

Jennifer & Lynn's love story began 42 years ago in their second semester of their first year of college. She was a gorgeous, petite, brown-eyed girl who stole Lynn's heart the moment he met her. After their wedding, they made their home in Langdon but also had a 40 year adventure traveling all over North Dakota with the family construction company for several months working each year.

Jennifer's top priority was her family. She spent those years being the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and, finally, the greatest name she had, Nana. She never missed one of her children's events and also tried her best to be at her grandchildren's, too. She was an avid reader, loved traveling, boating, bowling, playing board games and spending quiet nights alone with Lynn watching their favorite TV shows. She also was an EMT for Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, a football cheer coach at Langdon High School and worked at Sports & Shirts in Langdon for several years. She loved with her whole heart and will be missed, beyond words, by her family and friends.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Lynn; children: Lynsey (Scott) Kjos of Fargo, ND, Brant Peterson of Minot, ND, and Benten (Hannah) Peterson of Minot, ND; grandchildren: Landen, Aspyn, Boston & Atlas; parents Verlyn & Marvell Peterson of Tioga, ND; brother Ture (Andrea) Peterson of Williston, ND; father & mother-in-law Ronald & Marie Peterson of Langdon, ND; and Lynn's brothers and sisters: Arlen (Pam) Peterson of Devils Lake, ND, Jay (Susan) Peterson of Devils Lake, ND, Karla (Fred) Brauer of Livermore, CA, and Kim (Roger) Otto of Langdon, ND, along with several nieces, nephews, and their children.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at United Lutheran Church in Langdon, ND. Burial in the spring will be at Lebanon Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
