Jeannette R. Keena

Jeanette R. Keena age 79 of Hamilton, ND died on Monday, July 18, 2005, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND.
Jeanette R. Keena was born November 22, 1925, at Hamilton, ND to Ray and Kate (Anderson) Keena. She grew up and attended school at Hamilton. Jeanette graduated from the Hamilton High School, Deaconess School of Nursing in Grand Forks, and Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL. She was employed at the Drs. Thompkins, Countryman, and Rand Clinic at Grafton, the Fargo Clinic, and spent several years as a missionary nurse in Kentucky.
Then she was employed as a college nurse in the Health Service at Moody Bible Institute. In 1972, Jeanette returned home to held take care of her mother who was in failing health. During this period of time she became involved with the Hamilton Christian Coffee House and coordinated programs for 25 years. She always said "her next address would be "Heaven". She was currently attending the Evangelical Free Church in Cavalier.
Jeanette is survived by one brother, Robert Keena, Hamilton, ND., several cousins and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cavalier Evangelical Free Church, Cavalier, ND. with Pastor Don Schmid officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of service with burial at the Hamilton Cemetery.
