Jeanne Halldorson

Jeanne M. Halldorson, 73, of Grafton, ND, formerly of Mountain, ND, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Vikur Lutheran Church, Mountain, ND. Visitation will be held for one hour before the time of the service at the church.

Jeanne M. Halldorson was born August 13, 1949, in Seattle, WA to Orvel Jr. and Anita (Anderson) Jacks. She grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from Evergreen High School. Jeanne worked at an auto shop in Seattle. In 1975, she met Duane Halldorson, and they were married on August 23, 1993 in Reno, NV. They lived in Seattle until 1997, when they moved to Mountain, ND, where Jeanne worked at the Post Office.

Jeanne enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and baking. She was a member of the Icelandic Association and the Vikur Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her stepchildren: John (Lisa) Halldorson, Seattle, WA and Debbie Prien, Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Heather Fredericksen, Megan Prien, Bryan Prien, Ashley Halldorson, Nikole Halldorson, and David Halldorson; great-grandchildren: Alexis and Piper Fredericksen, Lucy and Holden Halldorson, and Elliana and Madelyn Magante; nephew, Keith Showsky; and great-niece, Jessica Showsky.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; daughter, Carrie Jacks; twin sister, Judy; and stepson, Allan Halldorson.
