Jeanette M. Papenfuss age 81 of Cavalier, ND. died on Monday, May 23, 2005, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the United Lutheran Church. Visitation at the church for one hour before services. Burial in the Pembina Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Jeanette Margaret Turner was born July 31, 1923, at St. Vincent, MN. to David Ernest and Anna Della (Lang) Turner. She grew up in St. Vincent and attended school at Pembina, graduating from Pembina High School.
On August 18, 1945, she married Albert William Grube at Pembina. They farmed in the Pembina area until his death on January 22, 1962. She then married Earl Papenfuss on January 8, 1964, then moved to Cavalier.
She is survived by her children, Ronald and Rodney Grube, both of Cavalier, ND., Bob (Margaret) Grube, Walhalla, ND., Wendy (Rod) Miller and Connie Darley, both of Indianapolis, IN., grandchildren, Brent (Cori) Grube, Jeremy (Karissa) Grube, Devon Grube, Desiree (Jesse) Hopkins, Constance Holth, Chad (Irene) Holth, Jamie, Eric, and Ashley Miller, Terry (Tina) Lorenzen, and Tami Knutson, ten great grandchildren, brother, Maurice (Pat) Turner, Willmar, MN., sisters, Virginia (Earl) Getchel, Minneapolis, MN., Ruby Kothe, Hallock, MN., Rita Reese, Grand Forks, ND., and Gertrude Hoglin, Roseau, MN.
Jeanette was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Max, Doug, Lawrence, Burton, and Ralph Turner, and sister, Mildred Wang.
