Jean J. Stegman

Jean J. Stegman, 78, of Walhalla, ND died on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND, where she has resided for the past two years. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Walhalla Assembly of God Church, Walhalla, ND. Burial in the Hillside Cemetery, Wahalla. Arrangements with Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND.
Jean was born December 21, 1929, at Bathgate, ND to Russell and Ella (O'Hara) Gibney. She grew up and attended school in Bathgate.
On June 10, 1948, she married Albert W. Stegman at Bathgate. After their marriage they moved to Walhalla. She worked at the Walhalla Country Club for many years and driving truck for local farmers during the potato harvest. Albert passed away on September 15, 2007.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (Ronald) Gratton, Osnabrock, ND; Ernie Stegman, Walhalla; Rodney (Lynell) Stegman, Grand Forks, ND; Kenny Stegman, Walhalla; Tim (Penny) Stegman, Cavalier, ND; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Kihne, Cavalier; sister-in-laws, Lillian Gibney, Cavalier and Jeanie Gibney Anderson, Rolla, ND.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, son, Dennis; brothers and sister-in-laws, Don and Kaye Gibney, James Gibney, and Bob Gibney; sisters and brother-in-laws, Joanne and Gordon Hageland and Mayme and Ron Fuller; brother-in-law, Howard Kihne.
Clergy: Pastor Dann Pageler.
Honorary Pallbearers: All of Jean's Grandchildren.
