J.B. Martin, 91, of Hamilton, ND passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, April 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home. Burial in the Hamilton Cemetery.
J.B. was born December 25, 1918, near Hamilton, ND to Glen and AnnaBelle (Carson) Martin. He grew up in the Hamilton area and graduated from Hamilton High School. J.B. then attended the Agricultural College in Fargo and returned to the Hamilton area where he farmed his entire life.
He was on the steering committee which founded the North Valley Water District and served on that board for 38 years. His hobbies included gardening, reading, playing whist, and he was a loyal supporter of the Pembina County Fair for many years.
On December 25, 1941, he married Eleanor Lemier at Neche, ND. She survives, as do his children, Carson (Patty) Martin, Hamilton, ND, Rita (Pat) Lauer, Bottineau, ND, and David (Beth) Martin, Ft. Lupton, CO; grandchildren, John (Pam) Martin, Brian (Kari) Martin, Wayne (Heather) Martin, Lenaye (Tim) Ensrud, Terri (Al) Kilian, Deb (Scott) Smith, Danielle Barry, Brad Dudgeon, Amy (Paul) Regalado, and Rachel Martin; 12 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Cindy) Martin, Houston, TX, and son-in-law, Gary Dudgeon, East Grand Forks, MN.
Preceding him in death were his parents, daughter, Marlys Dudgeon, and brother, Ray Martin.

Music: Christine Hughes, Organist and Jim Hines and Rev. Lori Broschat, Vocalists.
Honorary Pallbearers: All of J.B's Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Casket Bearers: Wes Argue, Gordon Johnson, Austin Kilian, Brian Martin, John Martin, and Wayne Martin.
