Jay Gene Johnson, 85, of Langdon, ND passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.
Jay was born in Muskegon, Michigan on August 28, 1929 to Orlin (OK) and Bernice (Hanson) Johnson. Jay had many friends throughout the county and was an avid member of the Hannah Community Restaurant where he drove twice a day from Langdon for the daily coffee get-togethers. He lived alone for many years in Wales where he loved to tinker with all sorts of things. Since his time in Maple Manor his main enjoyment was going to AMOCO now Clark service station for a toddy and to visit with friends there. He also loved mowing grass, playing bingo, driving his car, playing pool (could shoot with either hand) and watching TV in the winter.
Jay is survived by his three brothers: Orall (Joann) Johnson of Ramsey, MN, Jerry (Annie-deceased) Johnson of Wales, ND and Dale (also known as Boots) Johnson of Wales, ND and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Annie Johnson and nephews Troy Johnson and Mark Johnson.
