James R. Vaughn

James R. Vaughn, 47, of Cavalier, ND passed away Monday, December 1, 2014, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Cavalier Presbyterian Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.
James Robert Vaughn was born August 25, 1967, at Cavalier, ND to Arthur and Corene (Basher) Vaughn. He grew up in Cavalier and graduated from Cavalier High School in 1986. After graduation, he worked on the family farm with his dad and brother. He also worked for Austfjord Construction and Bjornson Oil Co for the past 15 years. James owned and operated James's Windshield Repair. Things he enjoyed were deer hunting and snowmobiling.
Survivors include his life partner, Patty Askew, Cavalier; mother, Corene Vaughn, Cavalier; siblings: Zelda (Danne) Hartje, Tom (Rita) Vaughn all of Cavalier, Georgia (Brad) Rice, St. Anthony Village, MN, Janet (Gary) Sjol, East Grand Forks, MN; nieces and nephews: Todd, Tim, Scott Hartje; Cole, David, Craig Vaughn; Jeremy, Joel, Laura, Lana Rice; Nathan and Anna Maria Sjol; Patty's children: LeAnn and Dan Strand; Patrick, Anthony, Nicole Askew.
Preceding him in death was his father, Arthur.
