Jack Williamson

John M. "Jack" Williamson age 74, of Glasston, ND died on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, July 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Glasston Cemetery.
John M. Williamson was born November 4, 1934, at Glasston, ND to John and May (Long) Williamson. He grew up in the Glasston area and attended school at Glasston and St. Thomas. Jack served nine years with the National Guard and for six months at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He farmed in Pembina County his entire life, for eleven years he worked at Ault's Polaris Shop in Cavalier as a mechanic.
Jack enjoyed farming, gardening, woodworking, and working with the 4-H kids.
On July 18, 1958, he married Marcia Becker at Crookston, MN. She survives, as does his daughter, Jill (Jim) Bisson, Grand Forks, ND, two grand puppies, Tanuki and Meko, his cat, Boo, and sister, Doris Heuchert, St. Thomas, ND.
Preceding him in death were his parents, infant son, Mark Richard, brother, Lyle Williamson, and sister, Marie Heuchert.
Clergy: Rev. Adrian Olson.
Casket Bearers: Andy Adrian, Daryl Gladue, Allen Heuchert, Carlton Heuchert, Elton Heuchert, and Richard Margerum.
Music: Dana Tisdale, soloist, Valerie, Luke, and Samuel Heuchert, pianists, and Connie Holte, organist.
