Jack Thomasson

John H.E. �Jack' Thomasson, Sr., age 64 of Cavalier, ND, died on Friday, July 1, 2005, at his home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 5, 2005, at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 4th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Andvari Cemetery, rural Cavalier. Arrangements under the care of Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
John H.E. �Jack' Thomasson was born September 3, 1940, at Akra, ND. to Gunnar S. and Nancy Ellen (Grover) Thomasson. He grew up in the Akra and Cavalier area where he attended school. From 1958 to 1962, he served in the U.S. Army. After his discharge from the service, he briefly lived in Seattle and spent several years in St. Louis, Missouri.
On April 28, 1962 he married Patricia Ann Mazanec at St. Louis. In 1972, they returned to ND. and resided at Mountain and then in 1993, moved to Cavalier. Jack worked road construction until 1977, when he began farming and then retired in July of 2000.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, children, Barbara (Bradley) Byron, Minneapolis, MN, Jeffrey Thomasson, Kennedy, MN, Douglas (Kathy) Thomasson, Middlebro, Manitoba, and John H.E. Thomasson, Jr., Roseau, MN, grandchildren, Brittany Byron, Trysha Thomasson, Nicole Thomasson, Brady Byron, Ashley Harder, SeanThomasson, and Kayla Thomasson, parents, Gunnar and Nancy Thomasson, Cavalier, ND., siblings, Carol (Howard) Puppe, Buckley, WA, Gunnar S. �Butch' Thomasson, Cavalier, ND, Ida (Arnold) McLeod, Hewitt, MN, Kenneth (Judi) Thomasson, Hensel, ND, Ralph (Judy) Thomasson, William Thomasson, Alvin Thomasson, all of Cavalier, ND, Gloria (Kenneth) Bullock, Wadena, MN, Richard (Diane) Thomasson and David (Betty) Thomasson, all of Cavalier, ND.
