Irene Fritz

Irene F. Fritz, 90, of Pembina, ND passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 6th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Irene was born February 20, 1928 on the family farm near Pembina, ND to Theodore and Antoinette (Berard) Desrosier. She graduated from Pembina High School and attended college in Grand Forks, ND. Irene taught school in rural Pembina County.

On October 20, 1948, Irene married Don Fritz in Pembina. They raised their family in Pembina and she worked at Woods Brokerage for many years. Irene also enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her children: Linda (Gary) Simmons, Bismarck, ND, Ron (Gaye) Fritz, Pembina, ND, Steve Fritz (Mary Beth Morrison), Drayton, ND, Donna (Brad) Haroldson, Sartell, MN, Robert (Debbie) Fritz and Greg (Sue) Fritz, all of Pembina, ND; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Marieanne (Orein) DeLap, Yvonne (Pat) Flynn, Rita (Jim) McColl.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Don.
