Inez Enerson

Inez I. Enerson, 95, Cavalier, ND and formerly of Hamilton, ND, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Interment will be held in the Hamilton Cemetery.
Inez Isabelle McArthur was born December 28, 1921, near Maida, ND to Upton and Hazel (Scott) McArthur. She grew up in the Cavalier area and after high school worked for Jim and Mary Sharp on a farm east of Hamilton. It was there she met her future husband Andy. They were married in Hallock, MN on June 16, 1940. Inez and Andy farmed until their retirement and enjoyed 30 plus winters in Mesa, AZ. She was a resident of the Borg Memorial Home, Mountain, ND and Wedgewood Manor.
She was a member of the Hamilton Order of the Eastern Star and was a current member of the Bathgate Chapter #74. Inez was Worthy Matron three times, District Deputy, and Grand Representative to Kansas. She was also a member of the Hamilton Methodist Church and Hamilton Homemakers.
Things she enjoyed were sewing, making many of her children's clothes, crafts, and was an excellent cook. When she went to the nursing home she said "now someone else can do the cooking."
Survivors include her children: Connie (Rocky) Schumacher, Grand Forks, ND, Mary Ellen (Dean) Latozke, Neche, ND, Harvey (Denise) Enerson, Rosemount, MN, Richard (Marsha) Enerson, Trenton, ND; daughter-in-laws: Annette "Toni" Enerson and Joleen Enerson; son-in-law, Chad Hannah; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Crosby; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Andy on August 3, 2007; children: Karen Hannah, Kelly Enerson, and Gerald Enerson; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Gloria McArthur.
