India L. Nelson

India L. Nelson, 72, of Cavalier, ND passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. A graveside service will be held at the Sts Nereus and Achilleus Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

India Williams was born July 29, 1952, at Oxnard, CA to Weldon and Myrtle India (Slavens) Williams. She grew up in California and graduated from high school in Houston, TX. India lived in Hawaii and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1978. In 1982, her family moved to Neche, ND. On December 30, 1983, she married David Nelson in Neche. She worked at FedEx Brokerage in Pembina. In 2011, they moved to Cavalier. Things she enjoyed were adult coloring books, music and her and Dave enjoyed watching Jeopardy together.

She is survived by her husband, Dave, son, Michael Moore, Grand Forks, ND, stepson, Chris Nelson, West Fargo, ND, grandchildren: Graven and Isabella Moore and Dakota Farkas. Also surviving are her siblings: Robert Williams, Wade Williams, and Rebecca Williams.

Preceding her in death were her parents.
