Ida M. Berg

Ida M. Berg, 90, of Walhalla, ND passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon, ND. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, Walhalla Lutheran Church or the Walhalla Ambulance Service.
Ida Mary Pitcher was born March 29, 1924, at Walhalla, ND to Fred and Carrie (Larson) Pitcher. In the early 1960's she worked at the White Kitchen Café in Walhalla and later for Ted Eagan Farms in the potatoes. On February 20, 1947, she married Victor A. Berg at Langdon, ND. After their marriage, they lived for many years on a farm in the Walhalla area. Victor passed away on July 31, 1989.
Ida enjoyed quilting, needlework, and baking.
Survivors include her grandchildren: Elizabeth "Libby" (Joseph) Dominguez, West Fargo, ND and Darrin (Jennifer) Mineke, Minot, ND; great-grandchildren: Michael and Rachel Dominguez; Victoria, Andrew, Evan, and Christian Mineke; son-in-law, Lyle (Anna Mae) Mineke, Walhalla, ND.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Evelyn Mineke; siblings: Percy Pitcher, Edna Thorsteinson, Arthur Pitcher, Elmer Pitcher, Stanley Pitcher, Beatrice Pitcher, Clarence Pitcher, and Lois Pitcher.
