Hulda O'Hara, 88 of Hamilton, ND died Friday, June 20, 2008, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 23, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Hulda A. Greening was born December 28, 1919, at Neche, ND to Edward and Elsie (Hildebrandt) Greening.
On September 30, 1938, she married Clinton J. O'Hara at Cavalier, by Rev. George McDonald. They lived at Carlisle "Four Corners" and Hamilton. Clinton passed away on November 11, 1988. In September of 2003, she moved to the Borg Memorial Home at Mountain, ND and on May 29, 2008, to Wedgewood Manor.
She enjoyed baking, canning, quilting, and gardening. Hulda also cleaned homes for many families in the area and was employed by the Pembina County Fair for many years.
Survivors include her children, Shirley (Rodney) Keena, Cavalier and Midland TX, Mary Jane (Don) Johnson, Judy McDonald (special friend, John McLean), Joyce (Jim) Johnston, daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Duane) Deraas, all of Cavalier, ND; grandchildren, Debbie (Doug) Wilkerson, Rick (Susie) Keena, all of Midland, TX, Tracee (Randy) Heck, Cavalier, Brian Johnson, Duluth, MN, Candis (Mike) Longtin, Devils Lake, ND, George McDonald, Jr. (special friend, Shannon Brakke), Fargo, ND, Christopher O'Hara, Cavalier, Alisha O'Hara, Indianapolis, IN, step grandchildren, Todd Johnston, Cavalier, Connie Hannenberg and Jenny Johnston, both of Fargo, ND, Justin (Amy) Johnston, Montgomery, MN, great grandchildren, Josh and Brittaney Wilkerson, Keaton Vines, Kaylee Keena, Hunter and Hailee Heck, Jordan, Alexis, and Madelyn Longtin, Savanah and Cole Johnston, Brittany Larson, Madison Hanneberg, Marina Hayden, Anna Brakke; siblings, Hattie (Ed) Henschel, Grafton, ND, Annie Soderfelt, Drayton, ND, Kenneth Greening, Minneapolis, MN.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, sons, Bobby Clifford and Dennis James Edward, son-in-law, George H. McDonald, an infant granddaughter, brothers, Art and Gust and sister, Lydia Moritz.
