Holly Ann Grengs passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier, North Dakota, at the age of 62.
Holly was born in Cavalier, North Dakota to Fred Ouellette and Ida Hell on May 6, 1960. She attended St. Boniface Catholic School as a young girl and then attended Walhalla High School. She married Ron Schwab and together they had 3 beautiful children (Amber, Stormi, and Josh). They later divorced and then she was united in marriage to Donald Erickson Jr. They moved to the Warroad/Roseau area in Minnesota where they later divorced and then she married her late husband Bruce Grengs on March 3, 2016. After Bruce passed away, Holly moved back to Walhalla where she remained until her death.
Holly was a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indian Tribe. She enjoyed going to bingo and playing games on her tablet and phone. Additionally, until recent years, Holly loved hunting and fishing with her late husband, Bruce. She will be remembered as a kind, free-spirited woman who could make anyone smile when she entered the room.
Holly is survived by her children Amber (Brandon) Buss, Stormi (Josh) Proulx, Joshua (Ken) Schwab and stepchildren Tony Grengs, Andrew (Amber) Grengs, and Amber Grengs; her former spouses Ron Schwab and Don Erickson Jr.; her grandchildren Reese, Brityn, Piper, Elaina, and Maverik as well as several step-grandchildren; her sisters, Melanie Mostad and Jeannette Snyder; her brothers, Steven Frank and Ricky Ouellette; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Holly is preceded in death by her late husband, Bruce Grengs; her stepson, Benjamin Grengs; her parents, Fred Ouellette and Ida Hell; her sister, Gloria Jerome; her brother, Danny St. Vincent; her beloved dogs, Scrappy and Sox; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to the Askew Funeral Home in Walhalla, North Dakota on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 for visitation from 5p.m.-7p.m. with a 7p.m. prayer service to immediately follow.
