Hertha E. Inglis, 96, of Walhalla, ND died on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, August 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla.
Hertha E. Schultz was born June 14, 1912, at Upham, ND to Henry and Ernestine (Marks) Schultz. She grew up and attended school at Upham, and later moved to Walhalla with her sister and worked for Charlie and Emma Metelmann.
On December 25, 1940, she married Orville Inglis at Gardena, ND. After their marriage they lived in Walhalla, where Hertha cooked at the school.
She enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, quilting, and making afghans.
Survivors include her husband, Orville; children, Virgil Schultz, Bottineau, ND, Dale (Virginia) Inglis, Omaha, NE, Dennis (Peggy) Inglis, Fargo, ND, Keith Inglis, Minneapolis, MN, Lowell Inglis, Brooklyn Center, MN, Lois (Arlan) Amundson, Langdon, ND, Nordis (Manny) Doyle, Cavalier, ND; 16 granchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Reinhard Schultz, East Grand Forks, MN and sister, Adeline Lucas, Woodburn, OR.
Preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.
