Henry George Winzer

Henry G. Winzer, age 81 of Cavalier, ND passed away on October 19, 2009, at the Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier, ND.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Cavalier, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 21st from 4: 00 p.m. to 7:00 pm at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. and one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in the Cavalier Cemetery, Cavalier, ND.
Henry George Winzer was born on March 8, 1928 at Pembina, ND to Paul and Olga (Muth) Winzer. He married Frances Werner on October 8, 1949 in Cavalier, ND. He worked for many years at McCabe Farms in Lodema Township, Pembina County until 1960, and then he worked for Alland &Robbins farm for many years. Henry later was a bulk truck driver for Page Oil until 1979.
He is survived by his wife Frances of 60 years, his children, Bonnie (Dr. Charles) Koski and ,Larry (Cindie) Winzer, all of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Michelle Gardner, Nicole Knopik, Char Simon, Gina Nelson, Dana Nelson, Jason Nelson; great grandchildren, Hope and John Simon, Tanner Freed, Taylor Gardner, Mylee Knopik, Lukus Nelson, and Gavyn Nelson, brothers, Herbert Winzer, Veseleyville, ND and Jim (Lois) Winzer, Grand Forks, ND; sisters, Evelyn (Duane) Ekren, Gilbert, AZ and Arlene (Al) Thomas, Forturna, CA.
Preceding him in death were his parents, twin grandchildren, Dylan and Daryan Knopik, and sister-in-law, Alma Winzer.

Casket Bearers: Peter Gudmundson, Dennis Hartje, Lynn Schroeder, Tim Schroeder,Richard Thurston, and Herb Winzer, Jr.
