Henry D. Klindt age 81, of Walhalla, ND died Monday, March 5, 2007, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, March 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial will bein the Beaulieu Cemetery, Walhalla, ND.
Henry D. Klindt was born December 3, 1925, in LaMoure Township, near Walhalla, to Joseph and Erica (Wulff) Klindt. He grew up and attended school there. From 1952 to 1954, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the service he returned to the area where he farmed for many years.
He served on the LaMoure Township Board, Pembina County Water Board and the N.F.O. where he served as an officer. Henry was also past president of the North Dakota Christmas Tree Growers Association and fire warden of the North Dakota State Forest Service.
On August 18, 1956, he married Agnes Schoenheit at Walhalla, ND.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; children, Zoe Klindt, International Falls, MN; Wendy (Mark) Ulrich, Webster, ND; Wade (Jody) Klindt, Langdon, ND; 10 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters, Donna Verville, Walhalla, ND; Elaine (Leonard) Thompson and Eleanor Hartman all of Cavalier, ND.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and three brothers.

Military Rites by the Bartlettep-Resler Post #62, Walhalla American Legion.
Casket Bearers: Mason Buus, Alfred Byron, Jr. Shane Heck, Gilbert Schoenheit, Dick Simundson, and Daniel Ulrich.
Music: Connie Eagan, Soloist and Sharon Siberg, Organist.
