Hazel E. Cluchie age 67, of Walhalla, ND died on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla ,ND. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the church. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements with Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND.
Hazel E. Storey was born March 14, 1939, at Leroy, ND to John and Florence (Jerome) Storey. She grew up and attended school in the Leroy and Walhalla areas. She worked at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla and in 2004, became a resident there. Hazel was a very loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
In 1956, she married Edward "Jiggs" Cluchie at Walhalla, ND.
She is survived by Jiggs, children, Calvin (Nancy) Cluchie, Cavalier, ND; Duane Cluchie, Walhalla, ND; Tim (Brenda) Cluchie and Jeff (Ella) Cluchie, all of Grafton, ND; Craig (Kathy) Cluchie and Kelly (Tammy) Cluchie all of Cavalier, ND; 15 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Hilliard Storey, Cavalier, ND; Gordon (Lorraine) Storey, Grand Forks, ND; Ron (Norma) Storey and Alan (Marcella) Storey, all of Walhalla, ND; Tony (Steph) Storey, Bismarck, ND; Dale (Maureen) Storey, Detroit Lakes, MN; Joyce Lafferty, Grand Forks, ND; Pat (Lynn) Holo, Eau Claire, WI; and Audrey (Alton) Horsley, Walhalla, ND; special niece, Connie Goulet, Walhalla, ND.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents.
Celebrant: Rev. Fr. Thomas Krupich.
