Harold G. Pelletier, 78, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held for one hour before the time of the service at the church. 

Harold Gene Pelletier was born in Drayton, ND on September 23, 1945, to Henry and Valentine (Corneillie) Pelletier. He grew up on the family farm west of Joliette, ND. He attended school in Joliette, ND through the 8th grade and then attended school in Pembina, ND where he graduated. 

He was united in marriage to Grace Doyle of Leroy, ND on April 26, 1969. Through the years, they made their home in Hamilton, ND, where he owned Harry’s Bar, and also lived in St. Thomas, ND, Lawton, ND and Renton, WA before returning to Cavalier, ND. Harry was a self-employed carpenter for many years, then he drove truck and terragator locally up until he became sick in May of 2024. 

Harry loved watching car racing, playing cards with friends and family, and Sunday drives listening to classic country music, especially Johnny Rivers and Conway Twitty.

 He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Grace Pelletier; stepson, Mark (Julie) Doyle; daughters: Samantha (Mark) Weeks and Jamie (Kevin) Hanson; son, Brian (Nicole) Pelletier; nine grandchildren: Tori Doyle Morrison, Alexa Doyle, Michael Doyle, John Weeks, Anna Weeks, Ross Hanson, Bradley Pelletier, Ryan Pelletier, Nolan Pelletier; three brothers: Donnie (JoAnn) Pelletier, Danny (Betty) Pelletier, and Larry (Sherri) Pelletier; four sisters: Donna (George) Christenson, Geraldine Pitcher, Marie (Bryan) Gahlon, and Juliette Pelletier. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen; and brothers, Patrick and Henry.
