Harold Krueger, 95, of Langdon, ND passed away April 24, 2010 in Minot, ND. Harold Walter Krueger, son of Henry and Louise (Krautz) Krueger, was born on June 23, 1914 in Erinview, Manitoba, Canada. When Harold was four years old, his parents and brother, Clarence, moved to the family farm in Waterloo Township, Cavalier County, North Dakota where he was raised and attended country school through the eighth grade. Harold enjoyed the peaceful country living where he could take care of the farm animals, drive and repair farm machinery, and watch the crops grow.
Harold married Phyllis Marjorie Johnson on June 24, 1944. Together the couple built their family farm and raised five children. Harold and Phyllis farmed together in Waterloo Township, Cavalier County, North Dakota for many years.
Harold was a kind and caring father and is survived by his five children: Terry Krueger, Fargo, ND; Linda Brintnell Olson, Burlington, ND; Kathleen Grantham, East Grand Forks, MN; Beverly Clark, Frederick, MD; Mark Krueger, Jamestown, ND and a sister, Lucille, Minot, ND. Harold was also the loving grandfather of fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Harold is preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis; son, Wayne; parents, Henry and Louise; brothers, Clarence and Elmer; sisters, Alice Ring and Evelyn Krueger; grandson, Chad Clark.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Langdon, North Dakota.
On Friday, April 30, 2010 visitation will begin at 2:00pm with a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service at Brooks Funeral Home, Langdon, ND. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Saturday.
Interment will be at the Immanuel Redeemer Cemetery near Dresden, ND.
