Gudrun G. Hanson

Gudrun G. "Goodie" Hanson age 80 of Walhalla, ND died on Saturday, November 12, 2005, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Burial in the Mountain Cemetery, Mountain, ND.
Gudrun G. Bjarnason was born October 29, 1925, at Mountain, ND to Tryggvi and Gudney (Johnson) Bjarnason. Shew grew up and attended school near Mountain. Goodie then attended Mayville State Teachers College and taught rural school near Mountain.
On November 7, 1942, she married Percy H. Hanson at Crookston, MN. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Mountain and in 1966, moved to Walhalla.
She was a charter member of the Northeastern North Dakota Heritage Association.
Goodie is survived by her husband , Percy F. Hanson, children, Harriet Faye (Phil) Doty, Vancouver, WA, John (Jackie) Hanson, Idaho Falls, ID, Frank (Alice) Hanson, Frazee, MN, Terry (Bonnie) Hanson, Grand Forks, ND, Brian Hanson, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Rori Johnson, Flaxville, MT, Leif (Sandy) Hanson, Post Falls, ID, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters, Anna (Henry) Scheving, El Cerrito, CA and Ramona (Mike) Williams, El Sobranti, CA, brother, Lynn (Bunny) Bjarnason, Mountain, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Grover Bjarnason, grandson, James Doty, great grandson, Alexander Bryan.
