Gregory Hoffarth

Gregory Hoffarth, 52, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Langdon, ND passed away Monday, May 19, 2008 at Grand Forks, ND.

Gregory Francis Hoffarth was born December 8, 1955 at Langdon to Romeo and Mabel (Fischer) Hoffarth. He spent his first few years of school in Maida then transferred to Langdon where he graduated from high school. He went on to UND Lake Region where he received a degree in Carpentry. Greg and Lynda Myren were united in marriage on November 8, 1980 at Fairdale, ND. They made their home in Langdon and became the parents of a daughter, Lisa. Greg helped take care of the family farm following his father’s death. In October of 1983, they moved to Grand Forks where Greg went to work at the Hyslop Sports Center. He worked at the Hyslop until the last couple of years when he worked at the UND Wellness Center. Greg had recently become a grandfather.

Greg is survived by his daughter Linsa (Henry) Moen of Fargo, ND, grandson Alexander Moen, brothers: Thomas (Margie) Hoffarth of Devils Lake, ND, James (Carol) Hoffarth fo Langdon, sister Barbara of Devils Lake and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and nephew Russell Hoffarth.

Services will take place on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
