Grace M. Rendall, 72, of Langdon, ND passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Cavalier County Memorial Hospital in Langdon.
Grace was born October 10, 1943 in Manitou, Manitoba to Robert and Helen (Bryson) Rendall. She attended school in the Manitou area and then attended Angus Business College for secretarial training. Grace was united in marriage to James Symons on November 14, 1970 in Manitou. James and Grace raised their family and farmed in the Langdon, ND area. Grace was the bookkeeper for Symons Grain and was very proud of being a farm wife. Grace worked as a secretary in Canada for several years, as a real estate agent in Arizona, and was owner of Gracieââ¬â¢s Restaurant in Langdon for many years. After her retirement, she remained in Langdon and was currently a resident at Maple Manor Care Center.
Grace was very involved in the curling club and delivered senior meals in her younger years. She was a member of Eastern Star and served as secretary for many years. Grace was most proud of being a mother. She loved her boys and their families.
Surviving Grace are her sons: Duane (Billie) Symons of Langdon and Robert (Heather) Symons of Brighton, CO; grandchildren: Tristan, Meryk, Jaedyn, Mason, and Emersyn; and siblings: Harold (Gay) Rendall, Lawrie (Nancy) Rendall, Bobbie Parker, and Debbie (Robert) Morrow. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Lyle James Symons, and brother-in-law Bruce Parker.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Maple Manor Care Center Chapel in Langdon. Inurnment will take place at Lebanon Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
In lieu of flowers, Grace asked that memorials be directed to Lebanon Cemetery in Langdon, ND.
