Grace Busse

Grace Busse, 101, of Walhalla, ND passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Walhalla-Park Center Presbyterian Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
Grace was born November 24, 1913 at Vang, ND to Daniel and Bertha (Overaas) Danielson. She grew up in the Vang area and attended country school. She then worked as a nanny in Minneapolis, until returning to the Walhalla area.
On November 23, 1937, she married Lawrence "Bud" Busse at Walhalla, ND. After their marriage they lived in the South Walhalla area where she was a homemaker and later a nurse's aide at the Pembilier Nursing Center. She also cared for her father and mother-in law and an uncle. Grace was active in her church, where she taught Sunday School, and was also a 4-H Leader.
Survivors include her children: Ron (Connie) Busse, Prescott, AZ, Laurel (Paul) Brusseau, Walhalla, ND, Francis (Sherry) Busse, Cavalier, ND, Carolyn (Bill) Dubuque, Albuquerque, NM, Terry Busse, Walhalla, ND; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters: Edna Swenson, Lake Stevens, WA, Lois Thompson, Lacey, WA, Carrol Williams, Port Hadlock, WA.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Lawrence "Bud" on May 17, 1983; brothers: Orin, Wallace, and Norris Danielson; sisters: Irene Knutson, Florence Arneson, and Lenora Peterson.
