Glenn Gronhovd

Glenn Gronhovd, 76, of Fairdale, ND passed away November 4, 2008 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Glenn Gronhovd was born to John and Emma (Medalen) Gronhovd on December 1, 1931 at Langdon, ND. Glenn started school in Osnabrock Township and later graduated from Nekoma High School In 1950. After graduation he farmed with his father. On June 11, 1966 Glenn married Barbara Isum and later that year the couple moved to a farm in Osnabrock Township where they raised their children until moving to Badger, MN in 1988 where he began working at Marvin Windows in Warroard. In 1996 Glenn retired and, with his wife, moved back to the family farm. Glenn was on the Osnabrock Township board, was active in the Nekoma Lutheran Church, and volunteered many hours at Park River Bible Camp.

Glenn is survived by his wife Barbara, his children: Gail (Greg) Zimbelman of Oakes, ND, Anita (Tom) Praska of Maple Lake, MN, Dale (Amy) Gronhovd of St. Cloud, MN, and David (Angela) Gronhovd of Big Lake, MN; grandchildren: Connor, Clancey, Shaley, Hannah, Grace, Tori, and Casey; Siblings: Marvin (Betty) of Nekoma, ND, and Karen (James) Young of Woodland Park, CO as well as several nieces and nephews.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and a brother who died in infancy.Prayer Service: Sunday, November 9th, 2008 at seven o’clock at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.

Funeral Service: Monday, November 10th, 2008 at two o’clock at Nekoma Lutheran Church of Nekoma, ND

Interment will take place immediatly following the service at the Highland Cemetery of Fairdale.
