Gladys A. Meagher, 71, of Pembina, ND passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012, at her daughter's home in West Fargo, ND after a brief fight with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sts. Nereus and Achilleus Catholic Church, Neche, ND. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Burial in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Bathgate, ND.
Gladys was born April 5, 1941, in Bathgate, ND to Albert and Edith (Gurke) Fiedler. She grew up in the Bathgate area where she attended school in Bathgate and Neche. She briefly attended Aakers Business College before marrying George Meagher on December 2, 1959. They lived and farmed their entire lives in the Pembina area.
Survivors include her childen: Curtis Meagher, Pembina, ND, Edie Meagher, West Fargo, ND, Kelly and Neil Meagher, Bathgate, and James Meagher, Pembina; siblings: Jean (Bob) Collette, Grafton, ND, Jack (Kay) Fiedler, Superior, WI, Nancy Coppola, Milbank, SD, Gerald "Duke" (Arlene) Fiedler, Minot, ND, Linda (Fred) Ganssle, St. Thomas, ND, Henry and Hamilton Fiedler, Cavalier, ND, Patty (Gary) Becker, Crystal, ND, and Vicki (Larry) Hanft, Dayton, WY; and her many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband George, brother, James Fiedler, nephew, Shane Ganssle, and nieces, Mary Collette and Wanda Rethemeier.
