Gladys M. Goodoien

Gladys M. Goodoien, age 73, of Cavalier, ND died on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at her home. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Gladys M. Evenson was born February 24, 1933, at Park River, ND to Magne and Borghild (Odden) Evenson. She grew up and attended school at Park River and then attended beauty school in Fargo, ND. After beauty school, Gladys worked at Ella's Beauty Shop in Park River.
On May 19, 1957, she married Ivan Goodoien at Park River, ND. After their marriage they moved to Lakota, ND, where she owned and operated a beauty shop. In 1970, they moved to Cavalier where she worked at the Chuck Wagon Café until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Ivan; siblings, Rodney Evenson, Woodland, WA; Glenna (Roy) Dion, Grand Forks, ND; Dorothy (Cecil) Rollefstad, Park River, ND; Delores (Robert) Gerth, McKinney, TX; Merle (Alice) Evenson, Grand Forks, ND; and Janice (Charlie) Pitcher, Cavalier, ND.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Donald and Russell Evenson.
