Gladys J. Buell

Gladys Julia Buell, 91, of Langdon, ND passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Cavalier County Memorial Hospital in Langdon.

Gladys was born July 27, 1924 in Jordan, SD. As a child, she moved to Tulelake, CA where she met Alvin Buell. They were married on July 10, 1942. Their family grew to five as they welcomed son Karl, son Kenny, and daughter Donnell. In 1952, Alvin and Gladys moved their young family to Gregory, SD where they farmed for over 40 years. They later moved to the Langdon area to be closer to family. For the last four years, Gladys has been a resident at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.

People will remember Gladys for her giving heart, loving generosity, big smile and her strong faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a member of the New Hope Fellowship Church in Langdon.

Gladys is survived by son Kenny Buell of Langdon, ND; daughter Donnell (Joe) Torgerson of Fairdale, ND; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Darwin, Speed and Dick; and sisters: Dixie, Hope and Marlene. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin, son Karl, grandson Kraig, brothers Bob and Melvin, and sister Lucy.

The family would like to sincerely thank Maple Manor for the love and care that she received and the CCMH staff for the care and concern not only for Gladys but for the entire family.

Services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at New Hope Fellowship Church in Langdon with visitation beginning at 5:30 p.m. Interment – Lebanon Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
