George A Plummer

George A. Plummer, 82, of Langdon, ND passed away August 5, 2006 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.

George Anderson Plummer was born April 26, 1924, the youngest of eight children, to John and Elizabeth (Rutherford) Plummer in West Hope Township, Cavalier County. He grew up and attended country school in West Hope Township. He was united in marriage to Marjorie H. Penner on June 7, 1950 at Bethel Mennonite Church west of Langdon, ND. They made their home and farmed north of Langdon, ND. They retired from farming in the mid 1970’s and moved to Langdon in December of 2005. George was a member of the First Baptist Church of Langdon where he served as a Deacon and served on the boards of the Lebanon Cemetery Association and the Maple Manor Care Center.

George is survived by his wife Marjorie of Langdon, daughters; Marietta (Ron) Mabie of Pickstown, SD and Jolene (Allan) Thompson of Langdon, ND, grandchildren: JoDee (Mike) Pink of Yankton, SD; Cory (Ashley) Thompson of Fargo, ND, and Michael Thompson of Langdon, ND, sister-in-law Betty Plummer of Devils Lake, ND and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters; Anna McLean, infant twins, Isabelle Loewen, Margaret Rohn, John (Jack) Plummer and Ostle Plummer.

VISITATION will take place from 4 to 7pm Tuesday evening at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon.

SERVICES Wednesday August 9, 2006 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Langdon, ND.

INTERMENT Lebanon Cemetery of Langdon, ND.
