George Meagher

George C. Meagher, 80, of Pembina, ND, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Altru hospital, Grand Forks. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nereus & Achilleus Catholic Church, Neche, ND. Visitation Friday, September 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary service at the Church. Burial in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Bathgate, ND.


George was born at Pembina, ND, January 2, 1931, to James and Nellie (Corbett) Meagher. He grew up and attended school in the Pembina area, where he farmed his entire life.
On December 2, 1959, he married Gladys Fiedler in Bathgate, ND. She survives, along with their five children: Curtis Meagher, Pembina, ND; Edie Meagher, West Fargo, ND; Kelly and Neil Meagher, Bathgate, ND; James Meagher, Pembina. He is also survived by his cousins, nieces, nephews, and one aunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gerald and sister Geraldine.
