George Kueneman

George Kueneman, 82, of Bullhead City, AZ and formerly of Wales, ND, passed away on March 23, 2012 at Nathan Adelson Hospice facility in Las Vegas, NV.

George Henry was born February 22, 1930 in Balcarres, Saskatchewan to George and Lavina (Schill) Kueneman. He grew up in the Langdon area and served in the US Army as a heavy vehicle operator from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953. George was united in marriage to Anna Steinke on June 22, 1954 in Wales, ND.

George worked a number of years for the University of North Dakota before moving to Fort Collins, CO. He was employed by the University of Colorado and retired after 20 years of service. George and Anna traveled for a number of years in their RV. In 1997, they purchased a house in Wales, ND and spent summers in ND and winters in Texas and Arizona. They settled permanently in Bullhead City, AZ in 2010.

George is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anna; brother, Robert (Clarice); sisters: Catherine Weber, Shirley (Robert) Ray, and Rita (Dan) Senger and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Frank, Harold, Richard, and James.

A memorial service for George will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Brooks Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m.
