George J. Bachman

George John Bachman was born August 19, 1925, on the McCabe farm, near Hensel, ND, to Andrew and Nena (Schmidt) Bachman, he then attended the Cull Country School. On August 9, 1947, he married Ruth Haraldsen and they farmed south of Hamilton, ND.
Things he loved were his church, faith in God, family, and farming. Other things he enjoyed were hunting, snowmobiling and a good practical joke.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of 66 years; children: Robert (LeAnn) Bachman, Willard, MO, and their children, Jason (Natalie) Bachman, Ryan (Kimberly) Bachman, Dawnetta (Travis) Cooper; Jenny (James) DeMell, Cavalier, ND and their children Ruth (Jason) Ivesdal, Dale (Jayna) DeMell, Jon (Melissa) DeMell; Linda (Gordy) Werven, Cavalier and their children, Justin (Jennifer) Werven, Kristi (Rex) Causey, Shauna (Joel) Sandoz ; Carolyn (John Leo) Schmidt, Greenfield, MN and daughter Kayla; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Donna Johnson, Corona, CA, Edith Bachman, Cavalier, and Delores Cameron, Rough River, OR.
Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings: Rose Dornan, John and William Bachman; and one great grandchild, Joshua Ivesdal.
George J. Bachman, 88, of Cavalier, ND passed away peacefully and into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the Cavalier Assembly of God Church, Cavalier. Visitation will be held Monday, February 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church.
