Genevieve (Lill) Washebek, 78, of the Langdon, ND area passed away November 29, 2007 in Fargo, ND.
Genevieve Mary Stevens was born December 26, 1928 to William and Helen (Hoffarth) Stevens in Cavalier County, ND. She grew up in the Dresden area where she was educated. Genevieve was united in marriage to Arthur Lill on June 24, 1947. They farmed in the Loma, ND area where they made their home and became the parents of ten children. Art passed away in 1973 and Genevieve moved into Langdon in 1974. She married Ray Washebek on July 5, 1975 and they made their home in Langdon until moving to Devils Lake in 1982. She worked as a cook at the Langdon High School for many years, was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic church and was involved in Catholic Daughters both in Langdon and Devils Lake. She has lived in Fargo for the past several years.
She is survived her husband Ray in Lakota, ND, children: Sandra (Alex) Dettling of Devils Lake, ND; Darrell Lill of South Carolina; Kenneth Lill of Fergus Falls, MN; Thomas (Doris) Lill of Alsen, ND; Rodger (Mary) Lill of Detroit Lakes, MN; Diana (Greg) Lanz of Fargo, ND; Betty (John) Craig of Fargo, ND; Brenda (Mark Taylor) Huck of Fargo, ND; Catherine Lill of Devils Lake, ND; Michael (Kris) Lill of St. Paul, MN; 23 grandchildren: Patrick Huck, Aryn Lill, Trenton Lill, Ian Craig, Donovan (Shannon) Dettling, Shaun Lill, Matthew Lill, Amanda Lill, Melissa Lill, Jessica Lill, Ryan Lill, Jamie Dettling, Jennifer Lill, Christopher Lill, Teresa Lill, Marrisa Lill, Heather (Mike) Livingston, Douglas Lill, Kaitlyn Big Track, Travis Lill, Nathan Lill, Ashley Big Trach, Justin Lill eight Great-grandchildren: Hannah Livingston, Trevor Dettling, Emily Lill, Braydon Dettling, Taitt Lill, Kameron Lill, Elizabeth Lill, Jacob Dettling, sister Imelda Chaput of Langdon, ND, brothers Allen (Selma) Stevens of Langdon, ND and Keith (June) Stevens of Texas and sisters-in-law Louise Stevens, of Langdon, ND, Lorraine Stevens of Leeds, ND and Helen Stevens of Langdon, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, brothers James, Earl and Lester.
VISITATION will take place from 3 to 5pm Sunday Dec 2, 2007 at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND with a prayer service at 7pm at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Monday.
SERVICES will take place Monday December 3, 2007 at 10:00 o ââ¬ï¿½clock at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
