Gene L. Johnson

Gene L. Johnson age 72, of Cavalier, ND died on July 3, 2009, at his home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Eugene "Gene" L. Johnson was born April 15, 1937, in Walhalla, ND to Chris and Stella (Shannon) Johnson. He resided most of his life in the Cavalier area, except for a few years in the St. Thomas and Grafton areas. Gene worked as a general laborer and did mechanical repair. His favorite pastime was visiting with his relatives and friends. He is deeply missed.
He is survived by three sisters, Fern (Allan) Smerud, Plymouth, MN, Luella (Chuck) Gustafson, Geneva, IL, and Leona Hovland, Plymouth, MN, seven nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents.
