She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, reading, and walking amidst God’s beauty. Gen was a member of St. Edward's Altar Society in Nekoma, ND, and at St. Margaret's in DeFuniak Springs, FL, she served as a parish council member, lector, choir director, and a Eucharistic Minister at the Federal Prison north of DFS. She was very dedicated to the God's Child Project, which helps the poor in Guatemala, El Salvador, Africa, and the U.S.
