Gayle I. Slama, 63, of Langdon, ND, passed away October 19, 2020, at her home in Langdon.
Gayle Watt was born May 28, 1957, in Grafton, ND, to Ronald and Elda (Aune) Watt. She grew up in the Milton area and graduated from Milton High School. Gayle married Wayne Slama on August 2, 1975 in Hitterdal Lutheran Church. They made their home in Langdon where Gayle did home day care then worked at Maple Manor as a CNA and in activities. She enjoyed decorating for every season and making seasonal gift baskets for her grandchildren. She and Wayne liked to spend time driving in the country in the fall to look at all the fall colors. She also loved to work in her flower garden in the backyard and spend time with family, especially her grandchildren. Gayle was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and altar society.
Surviving Gayle are her husband, Wayne, of Langdon; sons Jeremy (Heidi) of Mekinock, ND, and Shawn of Cando, ND; grandchildren: Blake, Emily, and Trysta; foster grandchild Akaydia; and siblings: Karin (Tom) Toston, Lowell (Brenda) Watt, and Jeff Watt. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Corey Slama.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND, with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. and Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Social distancing and use of masks are encouraged. Inurnment will be at St. Clotilde’s Cemetery, Milton, ND.
