Gary Svenson

Gary Svenson, age 69, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Neche, ND died on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial in the Neche Union Cemetery, Neche, ND.
Gary Elden Svenson was born June 17, 1941, at Grafton, ND to Victor and Winnifred (Newell) Svenson. He lived his younger years in Neche and then moved to Grafton where he resided until 1986. Gary then moved to the REM Group Home in Grand Forks.
His love of music was evident as he always wanted everyone to watch the Lawrence Welk program with him. Gary also loved to look at old pictures of his family.
Survivors include his sister, Fern Schumacher, Hot Springs, SD; sister-in-law, Doreen Svenson, Neche, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers, C.B. "Bud" Svenson and Earl Svenson.
